Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Swan, I found a good blend of comfort and value, particularly for travelers like me, who appreciate a peaceful retreat while exploring the local area. The service was welcoming, with a particularly friendly reception that made my arrival easy after a long journey from Toronto. Our spacious room featured a lovely four-poster bed, an electric kettle for morning tea, and all the essentials like free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was excellent, which is always a big plus for me. Breakfast was a highlight; the ability to customize an English breakfast using quality ingredients was a thoughtful touch. The bar and lounge area offered a nice selection of Joules beers, and the restaurant had a varied menu that appealed to different tastes. While the location is slightly out of town, a quick taxi ride makes it accessible, and the surroundings felt serene. Considering the amenities and the level of care from the staff, I found the Swan to be worth the investment, especially for those seeking both relaxation and a homey atmosphere. I’d certainly recommend this place for your next getaway!
